August Class: Getting what you want

08/14/2010 3:00 pm
08/14/2010 6:00 pm

On Saturday, August, 14th, we will be hosting workshop on how to get what you want in the world of BDSM. If you have been curious or looking to expand your options, we will be talking about how to explore some of those darker erotic desires in a fun and safe way.

We will briefly go over some terms and definitions. We will cover negotiation tips and protocols, along with how to attract the right kind of attention. There is more than one way to go from wanting something to getting it. By the end, we hope to have unmasked some of the mystique of it all and shown some new ways to spice up an existing partnership, or find spicier partners in the future.

Since communities like ours make it dramatically easier to find people who are willing to do the naughty things that you want to do, we will also spend some time on how our community works, as well as what to expect from kink communities elsewhere.

Flogging Workshop and Demo - July 10th, 2010

07/10/2010 3:00 pm
07/10/2010 6:00 pm

On Saturday, July 10th, 2010, we will be hosting a workshop and demo on flogging. From heavy thud to light tickle, to the sting of a braided cat, there is more to flogging than whacking a back. We will be demonstrating and discussing ways to use impact to produce sensations and endorphins, either to heighten other experiences or for their own sake.

We will show some different types of floggers and their effects. We will also spend some time on how to use them safely. The goal is for you to come away from the class with a basic understanding of the purpose and safe usage of the toys, as well as a variety of different techniques to keep your play interesting.

This workshop will be held upcountry, at 3pm, and is open to everyone. It is free to attend, all we ask is that you let us know that you are coming by July 9th. Please email events@mauibdsm.org so that we can know who to expect, and give you directions.
