On Maui, we don't have open parties. We find it is much easier to create an atmosphere where people are comfortable enough to get naked and have a good time if all of the attendees are pre-screened. It's a simple enough process. Each new person has to meet at least two members of the community and have both of those people agree that the new person is not just looking for free porn, or searching for drama. We have had very few people that we have met and then not invited to parties, but for those people - everyone was very glad we screened them out.

We are currently only planning our events about 2 months ahead. You can email questions@mauibdsm.org if you have specific questions. We don't post parties on the website. We have an email distribution list for that so the information only gets to those who we have screened.

1. The munches are open to everyone. All you have to do is show up
2. There are no special requirements if you just want to come to classes. Just respond and let us know you are coming
3. If you would like to come to a party or any of our private events, you will need to be screened first. Screening means meeting at least two members of the community. The main purpose of this is to weed out anyone who would put a damper on everyone else's fun. Almost everyone we meet this way is fine, but for the people that we reject - everyone is glad we do this. The easiest way to be screened is to just come to a munch or class and talk to everyone.
4. If we already know you and you are already coming to parties, but you would like more involvement, just ask us and we will talk to you privately about what the options are
