Joseph W. Bean has been an author, editor, journalist, artist, lecturer, instructor, and the executive director of the Leather Archives & Museum. He has written and edited over 25 books which include: Leathersex: A Guide for the Curious Outsider and the Serious Player, International Mr. Leather: 25 Years of Champions, Flogging, and many others. Joseph has served as editor for a large number of leather community magazines, including Sandmutopia Guardian, Drummer, and DungeonMaster. He lectured, taught and demonstrated in the community from the late 1970s to 2002, encompassing more than more than 1,500 presentations. He has received many awards and honors, such as the National Leather Association International’s Lifetime Achievement Award (1998), several Pantheon of Leather Awards, including the Reader’s Choice Award in 1993 and Man of the Year in 1994, 1998, and 2000, and the Founder’s Award from The 15 Association. This lecture will be held in Kihei and is limited to 12 participants (1 remaining). It will start at 2:30pm sharp, please arrive no later than 2:15pm.
